This week’s transformation trail mission is to focus on progressive steps towards your mission, not perfection. We are walking along a path to your bigger picture together to find a place of happiness. If you wait for the perfect time and place, it will never happen. Learn to accept what is out of your control such as what other people say or do, the weather, traffic, etc.
Can you relate to any of these questions?
- Do you find chores and tasks hard to let go?
- Do you find mistakes when others don’t see any?
- Do you want your things so perfect that you don’t finish anything?
I know I have caught myself answering yes to some of these on occasion. Continue to walk with me on our path towards transformation.
You have embarked on the trail with me because you most likely want to change something in your life. Little or small my goal is to bring back “you.” Help you find your one thing or bigger picture so life can get back into focus.
This journey is not for you if you:
- Cannot admit that your current to-do list is unrealistic.
- If you cannot let go of details and are ok doing everything yourself.
Is success is never enough? Do you find that when you achieve a goal you rapidly move on to something else to complete? Have you taken the time to enjoy your success or reaching your goal and giving yourself a break before breaking into your next project?
Perfection or sometimes referred to analysis paralysis leads you to over analyze, and you could miss out on making something, anything happen.
Here are a few ways to lean towards progression not perfection.
Set Yourself Up For Success
Do not get attached to your goals. If you are like me I make some goals, and then look back a year later and realize that does not resonate with where I am at in my life. Make small alterations or adaptations to them. Failure is sticking to a path whole-heartedly even if makes your soul feel bad. Focus on what will be your best use of time.
Celebrate Progress and Small Victories
Do not get caught up with disappointments or failures. Celebrate every little success you have. The little successes and progressional stepping-stones lead to accomplishing your bigger goals.
Learn To Let Go
It is not faster to do everything yourself. Seek out people who share your mission and encourage them to help. Do only what matters to you and the people that matter to you. Go back to your values for clarification.
When you recreate outside, the weather doesn’t care if you went prepared. You need to prepare yourself for whatever Mother Nature feeds us, which is also a metaphor for life. Practice patience with others and most importantly with yourself. Slow down and develop patience with our staff/friends/family when the to-do list doesn’t get done the way we think it should be. Sometimes slower is faster in the long run.
If you want to take it to the next level of transformation, treat yourself and book a trip to Utah, Montana or Alaska. These trips are the ultimate adventure experience to transformation designed especially for the busy woman. They are not designed for the weak at heart or those who might want to shelter themselves from healing and happiness.
Peace be with you this week. Diana
